I've always thought that the best teachers are also part actors. You have to be able to entertain a classroom of kids if you want to keep their attention. I've also dabbled a little with community theater. Smaller roles are a lot more fun and a lot less stressful than larger parts. If you are not part actor, I have a few tips I've gathered from plays I've done with kids. And, if you want to try some art activities, check out the art lessons I've used with my students.
